Monobloc is a globally known and very common piece in any home, office, garden or living space. While some in the West consider it an insignificant chair, of vulgar design and of dubious quality, in other parts of the world it is considered an object of incalculable value that, due to its great versatility, has improved the lives of many people. How can a simple chair be despised and save lives at the same time? How can it be a source of plastic waste in Europe and the engine of a sustainable economy in Brazil? Monobloc presents the story of a worldwide successful design and opens our eyes to the contradictions, virtues and flaws that the same object represents depending on the place from where you look at it.
