LE PLATEAU
Inès Elichondoborde
SPANISH PREMIÈRE
SYNOPSIS
Halfway between fiction and documentary, Le Plateau questions the interests behind excessive urban sprawl in virgin territories. Nowhere streets and abandoned, half-constructed buildings appear to us like ghosts, but they are the indelible traces of urban overexploitation. This visual meditation shows that when human domination in the form of real estate speculation motivated by political and economic interests becomes uncontrollable, everything ends in environmental failure.
